What sets this apart
Diving with a marine biologist on board.
Banggai is a destination of significant biological interest. Our boat carries one resident marine biologist (alternates between Indonesia-based researchers, all PhD-level) for guest education sessions. The biologist briefs the group before each dive on what to look for, then debriefs at sundowner with discussion.
Our reef monitoring program has logged ~1,400 hours of dive observations since 2019, contributing data to LIPI (Indonesian Institute of Sciences). Guests can opt into citizen-science transect work.

Unveiling the underwater mix of Banggai
Imagine slipping beneath the cerulean surface, where sunlight dances through crystal-clear water, illuminating a kaleidoscope of coral gardens teeming with life—a realm where every dive reveals a new, striking secret. The Banggai archipelago, set within the heart of the Coral Triangle, is a biological hotspot unparalleled in its marine diversity. This unique geographic position, where nutrient-rich currents converge, has fostered an ecosystem brimming with an astonishing range of species. While the iconic Banggai cardinalfish (Pterapogon kauderni) justly earns its fame here, it is merely one jewel in a crown of countless others.
