Banggai cardinalfish in long-spined sea urchin”/>Diving with a marine biologist on board.
Banggai is a destination of significant biological interest. Our boat carries one resident marine biologist (alternates between Indonesia-based researchers, all PhD-level) for guest education sessions. The biologist briefs the group before each dive on what to look for, then debriefs at sundowner with discussion.
Our reef monitoring program has logged ~1,400 hours of dive observations since 2019, contributing data to LIPI (Indonesian Institute of Sciences). Guests can opt into citizen-science transect work.
